Layer Group announces the sale of Golvimporten

Layer Group has sold Golvimporten Entreprenad AB. The company primarily provides flooring installation services in public environments. The transaction is part of Layer Group’s strategic focus on its core business and the areas of the Group where there are clear synergies. The buyer is the company’s management team.

Over the past few years, Layer Group has successfully worked to leverage synergies across the Group’s different businesses. When Golvimporten became part of Layer Group three years ago, the ambition was to develop close collaboration with other parts of the Group, particularly within flooring installation.

The business has been operating in a challenging market, and following an overall evaluation, Layer Group has concluded that the synergies have been more limited than expected. The sale is therefore a natural step in the Group’s continued focus on its core business and a more streamlined structure.

“To enable us to focus more effectively on areas where collaboration creates clear value, we believe it is the right time to allow new owners to take Golvimporten forward,” says Petter Håkanson, Acting Group CEO of Layer Group.

“We see significant opportunities for Golvimporten to further strengthen its position in the market. We will take with us the experience gained and make good use of what we have learned during our time together within Layer Group,” says Håkan Adelwald, CEO and new co-owner of Golvimporten.

The transaction was completed on 15 September.
