Thomas Lachonius Takes Over as CEO of the Högsbo Group
Thomas Lachonius, CEO of Allerby Måleri, has officially taken over the leadership of Högsbo Group and its three companies—KP Måleribolaget, Rush Måleri, and Effektiv Måleri—since January 1. All three operate in the Gothenburg area. He succeeds Mikael Skoglund, who successfully led Högsbo Group, and takes over three businesses that are currently in a positive growth phase.

“I was asked if I wanted to take over and contribute to Högsbo Group’s continued development. After realizing that I could maintain my commitment and drive for Allerby Måleri, there was no hesitation. The journey Mikael started has been very successful, and I look forward to continuing along the same path,” says Thomas.
Thomas has extensive experience in the painting industry and has been with Allerby Måleri for 30 years, including two years as CEO and ten years as Chief Operating Officer. He now brings that experience into his new role. Thomas explains:
“My experience in running companies and understanding the industry is what I primarily want to contribute. If we can take the best from Allerby and the best from the Högsbo companies, we have every opportunity to grow and become even stronger.”
Thomas emphasizes, however, that Allerby Måleri will continue to operate independently, as before. Högsbo Group’s companies will also remain separate, with their own operations and clients.
“We have four established and highly reputable companies, and it’s important for both our customers and employees that each brand maintains its own identity.”
In his new role, Thomas will divide his time between Allerby and Högsbo Group’s three companies, with the goal of being visible and present for all employees. The biggest challenge ahead will be ensuring that each company receives the support it needs.
“I want everyone to feel that they have access to the support required to continue developing and growing. It will be a balancing act, but that’s also what makes the role exciting. At the same time, I’m grateful for the support available within Layer Group, both from CEO colleagues who can act as sounding boards and from the central functions that are available,” says Thomas.
