What does it mean to be a painter?

For me, it means being creative, making connections, having a lot of personal responsibility, and collaborating with different people from other professions and customers, as well as working alone at times.

What does a typical workday look like?

Workdays can vary, but each day involves planning and preparing for the job to be done.

What is the most rewarding part of being a painter?

The variety of being in new places and meeting different people, the freedom of the job, being able to produce great work with a nice finish, and feeling professional pride when the job is done. I also appreciate that it is a physical job.

How did you find your way to the painting profession?

I have painters in my family who have been employees and run their own businesses, so I became aware of the profession early on. I have always been more practically inclined and wanted to work in a craft profession. Painting was perfect because it involves so many different elements.

Who would you recommend the painting profession to?

I would recommend it to people who enjoy working both in groups and independently and who can take personal responsibility. Someone who is flexible, social, and open-minded.
